for those, like Pelado, that like to start your Wordle with the precious day's answer. There is Hurdle which gives you 5 Wordles in a row, each one starting with the precious puzzles correct answer. and then on the 5th one you have 2 chances to get the word, but it fills it with the 4 answers. I tried it last night for the first time and liked it.

that’s an interesting variation. after 5 guesses and all the letters ruled out it seems like it would be hard not to guess the last puzzle.Originally posted by BigPiney View Postfor those, like Pelado, that like to start your Wordle with the precious day's answer. I've played this a few times and it is fun, but they seriously need to do a better job with their answer words. In one of the games I played, two of the consecutive words were identical except for the first letter, like BREAK and CREAK or something like that. It made solving the second word easy, but made solving the final word much more difficult (I don't remember if I got it. I've missed once or twice).Originally posted by BigPiney View Postfor those, like Pelado, that like to start your Wordle with the precious day's answer. Today, one of their words was FLUFF. Seriously? FLUFF??????

Anybody play Heardle? Name that tune in five tries.
Just started playing it, though if today’s guess is any indication it’s pretty hard. I went through iron butterfly, deep purple, and then finally cream before I got it.

I recognized that song right off, but didn't know the band because I never really listened to them.Originally posted by Northwestcoug View PostAnybody play Heardle? Name that tune in five tries.

I'm not very good at Heardle, but I nailed today's very easily with the first clip. I was 15 when that came out, and a person's favorite (or at least most memorable) musical period is usually within a one-year radius of one's 16th birthday. I remember having naughty thoughts at the lyric, "I'll soon be with you my love and and give you my dawn surprise," which everyone misheard in various ways, substituting "dull," "dong," or other words for "dawn," and yet the meaning remained unchanged. And naughty.

So that's why I feel like the good music peaked around 1967. I never really understood the reason before.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostI'm not very good at Heardle, but I nailed today's very easily with the first clip. I also got that song right away. I'm not going to get sucked into playing either Wordle or Heardle.
