I'm guessing backyards in my area look vastly different than back yards in yours. I have like 150 trees and bushes on my 1/2 acre lot. I'm so done with trimming and pruning. And that's even with a yard guy.

    Agree about the bathrooms.
I figure it will take about 5 years for me to get tired of maintaining our yard, though right now I enjoy it. But an added benefit of our 'front 40' (is this even a saying south of the border? Our 'back 40' is our unfenced part of our land) is the distance it keeps our neighbors, even though they're super nice.

    • We just purchased and acre lot that we are going to build on in Spring of 2027. I'm looking forward to a big back yard to have a large garden in. I want to do something like a fruit/veggie pantry for the community. A way to pass the time, and a hobby to keep me busy.

TK1 and her husband bought the lot next to us. He has a riding mower and will take care of that portion of it.

I am happy with not have much backyard space. I have enough space for my Blackstone, pizza oven, and a place to sit and hang out, which is enough for me.

As for square footage, I went from around 1500 square footage to 3900 square footage about a year ago. It has been a huge improvement. Lots of bathrooms is great and is underrated.

        • I've probably posted this article before. It's a City Weekly article from 2006 about the Greek origins of Crown Burger. It's a pretty fun read.

Fun read. I knew most of the burger shops were Greek-owned and run, but I didn't realize that was also the genesis of the Garlic burger at the Cottonwood Inn.

I am a true Utahn. I love the greek burger joints and will not apologize for this to anyone. I will also pushback on anyone who says they aren't good. I was a little mad at the Dough Boys episode about Crown Burger. They didn't give it nearly enough respect.

Maybe I should grab Burger Supreme or Apollo Burger for lunch today.

I love the greek buger joints too. JCWs is also a Utah original that I enjoy.

lol. Those seeking your apology for liking greek burger joints best be prepared for disappointment.

I like the greek burger joints, but their onion rings aren't great. JCW's onion rings are great but expect to take forever when you go there. They are slow.

I went to JCWs for the first time a few weeks ago. It was not good. Terrible room temp burgers. Milkshakes were awesome though.

That's been my experience over the past 5 years or so. Overpriced and underwhelming. Sad because it used to be fantastic.

I frequent Burger Supreme. But is it related to the Greek burger joints? I used to think so, but Abdel who runs it is from Morocco.
