Favorite sports radio personality in utah?

            Mike Hague has done a bang up job on 1320 so far this week. Not sure if he is just co-hosting while monty is on vacation or if it is a more permanent gig, but the guy seems to be very articulate, impartial, and knowledgeable... which is pretty novel for a Utah radio personality.

              I haven't listened much this week, but maybe I'll check it out.

              A few days ago, maybe last Friday? Monty was saying that it was his last day. He was moving out of state to Arizona or something. Said that his wife has moved all over the place for him, and finally it was his turn to move somewhere for her. Also said he didn't have a job lined up wherever they were moving to, he would just have to check it out and see what he could find when he got there.

              Bottom line, I wouldn't expect him back from vacation very soon.

              Which is too bad, he can be a bit of a dork at times - but he had grown on me and I found his opinion interesting because it was from someone who was a recent move to Utah.

                      I liked him as a player- went from meatball RB to quick, lithe DB. Seems like he can do whatever he sets his mind to do. Also, he's a BYU player from a Ute family-- that's probably a key factor for the impartiality.

                        What do you hate about him? I like their show better than anything Gordon and Spencer do. I used to like Gunther, but he's kind of gone off the deep end over the last year.
                        Will donate kidney for B12 membership.

                          Besides all the ute talk?

                          700 is the Ute station so I understand they are slanted heavily in favor of Utah, but they put blinders on and its like 4 hours of MPfunk and PortlandUte. Playoffs, best team in the nation, Travis Wilson for Heisman, etc.

                          GMO and Spence are terrible, I can't stand them.

                          I listen to 960 on the drive home, but to be honest Criddle sucks as well. The topic however is more interesting as it is all BYU, all the time.

                            I'll miss Monty. Hague is ok. I agree with Junkie, OC is now annoying.

                            My favorite is DJ (sans PK) with Gunther running a close second.

                                Looks like we agree. I thought OC was annoying when he was on with Hans a few years ago as well.

                                I don't get why we can't get a dedicated BYU show in the market that is on one of the big stations instead of what they're doing with Criddle. I wish we had something with Wrubell like what they do on 700
