What is wrong with you people? I want congratulations on my manliness for hanging my own lights and braving, certain death with one misstep. Instead, I get tile (concrete seams), watch(not a Rolex) and lawn (yes I have my own OCD issues -straight lines only, alternating direction each time the lawn is mowed, which is twice a week) comments?Originally posted by falafel View PostI'm going to guess its a Tag.

Actually, I was thinking that this picture makes it look like you only have 3 fingers on your left hand. Is that the case? I remember a Calvin and Hobbes look-alike contest many years ago run by the Daily Herald, I think. Some guy actually had 3 fingers on each hand and looked like the dad, and had a wild little tow-headed kid that resembled Calvin. Was that you?Originally posted by Art Vandelay View Post

Sorels are siiick. Those were my first snowboarding boots, lined with a ski-boot liner back in the day. I don't know if women like them though, since they are highly functional, waterproof, and not quite as ugly as Uggs (Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostWife wants a pair of snow boots for X-mas.
Are Sorels a safe bet for the Gyn-folk? Posters that live in the 'Tah, what does your wife rock when the pow starts falling?

I would think Sorels are a little overkill for daily use. Good for sledding, shoveling the walk after a blizzard, etc. Not necessary for trips to Target though. Must be living in proximity to Cabelas that them on her mind. You might think about getting her some camo gear too.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. That is really what she wants them for....when we go to Park City or sledding, that sort of thing. So, in other words, Im buying her a pair of boot she might wear 10 times the entire year.Originally posted by falafel View PostI would think Sorels are a little overkill for daily use. I have a pair of Sorels, the traditional tan color. I really like them. I haven't really bothered to notice what women wear once the snow rolls around, though. I agree that they are not really trudge around town gear, but then again, I haven't ever felt the need to wear snow boots simply to drive around town.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

I don't live in the 'Tah, but I would suggest you select something other than sorels. I like Keen winter boots, they're excellent quality, but not as bulky and more stylish than the average winter boots.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostWife wants a pair of snow boots for X-mas.

Wife and I both have Sorel's and love them. Mrs. hostile probably uses hers more often than most (several times a week in the winter)- skiing, going to the barn, sledding, etc. Here are some that are a bit more fashion-forward and may be suitable for trudge around town gear.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostThat is really what she wants them for....when we go to Park City or sledding, that sort of thing. I am not sure if these pass the high DDD fashion sense, but all of the HFN family rock these when at the mountain and not in ski/snowboard boots.
Waterproof and warm. Goose wears them all year round. In fact at this very moment she is wearing a mismatched pair because she likes the flowers on one and the butterfly on the other.
