As I complete my 10th semester at Coker, I'll have you know, LA Ute, that I have worn a guayabera to work every.single.day I've taught here.

That's a great look. And they don't have tails, so you'd look silly if you tucked one in. And-- I'll bet you wash and press your guayaberas. I hear that even academics have standards. (Well, the non-engineer academics, anyway.)

I like wearing ties...because I rarely get a chance to wear them. I never wear one to work. I dnt disagree that it is better to iron your shirt that to wear it wrinkled. And along those lines, none of your associates are showing up to work wearing a wrinkled, un ironed shirt (speaking of straw men). Ill advised spandex is nonsense for two reason....first, nobody at your firm is wearing that either, and second, there is no well advised spandex.

Again, your tweet is pompous on several levels...first, you do a moranic thing as a partner in the firm by implicitly insulting the mail room/non attorney staff. I can only assume this means nobody in your firm reads your tweets. Second, you manage to insult your young associates because, in your opinion, they should tuck in their shirts. Yet as a partner, you have a role in setting dress standards at your firm. So you penalize the associates (in your mind, at least) for complying with firm rules. And again, why would you tweet this, anyway? Why not take it up directly with the associate in question?

You are out of touch and it seems to cross over multiple industries. Anecdotally, only one person in this thread agreed with your point, and he even admitted that he agreed because he wanted to placate old people.

            Ps have a good weekend!

I'm pretty happy with the direction this thread has turned. Everybody has turned anti-LAU, which I thinks is ultimately a good thing for the board.

I went to work today in flip-flops, cargo shorts, and a long sleeve T-shirt. Also, 3 days without shaving. No one seemed to mind.
