We do, and I won't lie, if he picked up a co-worker in it, he might lose credibility.

I have an 06 Civic and truthfully I really like it. It gets 30-31 mpg going around town and about 36-37 on the freeway and I haven't had anything go wrong through the first 71k miles.

Honda made the somewhat unusual decision to continue with the current model which started in the 06 model year through the 2011 model year which means they went with this model for six model years as opposed to the customary five model years. Minivans, SUVs and trucks will often last six model years or more, but in the mid-sized and small sedan markets they mostly go for only five model years (and Nissan has recently changed models after only four model years with some of their cars).

The 06 model was a massive overhaul of the previous model. But here's the 2012 model that's coming out this Fall:

The front, side and interior look a lot like the current model. Honda's changing the back end, but this is not even close to the overhaul that took place with the 06 model.

Honda has a 2011 SE model of the Accord that has leather interior and the sticker price on it is somewhere around 23-24k. 2012 is likely to be the last model year for the current Accord (although it could go 6 like the Civic), and it would have been nice to upgrade to something like the Accord next year.

Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

I, too, have had the misfortune of getting the PT Cruiser as a rental on a business trip. To compound it, mine was purple and I was on the trip with a gay guy. Even he was embarrassed by it as we made our way to Harvard, MIT and other exciting places in Boston.
I have nothing else to say at this time.

We have the 06. We bought it used in 07. I test drove the 04 Toyota Sienna and the only difference was the price and the warranty so we placed our bets on the Koreans. So far any minor problems we have had have been under the warranty. Knock on wood.

All this talk about cars reminded me of this thread. Time to update it with a few new cred-killers.

Ford Transit Connect () Seen a few of these and they are hideous.

Mitsubishi i-Miev. Saw one of these in San Francisco a couple of months ago. Ridiculous.

                        Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

For my contribution, we received a Kia Soul for rental last year when our minivan was getting bodywork done after a crash. I hated everything about it.
