BTW, when I can afford to live in Park City I'll move back to Utah.
Why do you live where you do?

I grew up here, but that's not the reason. Had I been raised in Rock Springs or Rawlins or some of the other places that give Wyoming its reputation I am dead certain I would not have the same affection for my home town. I spent almost twenty years away from this place and not a day passed when I wasn't thinking about how I could get back. I'm still amazed, though I've seen it numerous times, by the way the sun falls on the landscape in late summer and fall. How achingly green the place gets in the spring. By a snowstorm rolling off the mountains. The cold. The heat. By lightning storms on a warm summer night. Its not without its faults, its got its fair share of peckerheads and it lacks certain amenitites. But it also has more than its fair share of kind, gracious and intelligent people and the sunsets make me forget the limited dining options.
Finally, in her weaker moments, even my New York bred wife is prone to admit that it's a pretty nice place, which is the gold standard of endorsements as far as I'm concerned. There's no such thing as luck, only drunken invincibility. Make it happen.
Tila Tequila and Juggalos, America’s saddest punchline since the South.

I'm jealous. Montana or Wyoming, I hope to get back some day. Come on Faith! What do you hate so much about big sky and gorgeous sunsets?Originally posted by landpoke View PostI grew up here, but that's not the reason. It is nice to be amongst similar thinking people. When we were in Austin, my wife started talking about how maybe we should move down there. How cheap the housing was, how she liked the winter climate, she thinks our kids would become football greats with the Texas attitude, etc. When I told her that would mean I would have to change my moniker and be a real hassle, she didn't even smile.Originally posted by YOhio View PostWe live in Ohio because I don't want to have to go through the hassle of changing my moniker.Get confident, stupid

We moved to Seattle so I could go to school. We will stay in Seattle because it is awesome. I think we would, however, like to live elsewhere for some brief period of time. Said location would have to be bigger than Seattle, but the problem is everywhere we have some interest in living is more expensive than here (NYC, SF, DC). We would also die to live overseas for a few years.
But long-term we plan on being here. Both families push hard for us to move back to Utah, but I have told my family I will only do if we can't afford to live elsewhere, or if a parent gets really sick and we feel like we have to.So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Yeah, I agree...Ohio is awesome. I think really the only place that I would never consider living though is in Dayton. But I mean, who would live in that hole, huh? Remind me again, you live in Cleveland, don't you?Originally posted by YOhio View PostWe live in Ohio because I don't want to have to go through the hassle of changing my moniker. I had to change my moniker from Ann Arbor Ute. I guess I should have picked a larger geographical location like you two did.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostIt is nice to be amongst similar thinking people.
