          • 45,788. Was very good on locations--I've spent lots of time in two of the cities/towns (my mission), and another is essentially my home town. Not so good on the years other than my home town.

I didn’t remember the exact year of the earth quake but luckily I wasn’t too far off.

i wish I would have read the Salzburg signs a little closer. I probably could have gotten a closer location with that.

1.6 m on the first one is the closest I've come. I thought Suriname was a trick so I missed that one badly.

                  1) 9800 pts 2 yrs off - 16.9 m -- too early
                  2) 6926 pts 11 yrs off - 3.4 km -- I thought it might be an end of the great war celebration
                  3) 9932 pts 1 yrs off - 905.5 m
                  4) 9258 pts 4 yrs off - 1.4 km -- The words word not quite German and the A. Dam. led me to Amsterdam.
                  5) 9203 pts 0 yrs off - 297.1 km -- I looked cross the UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand for those areas of town listed on the bus. I thought it might be in Scotland but hedge my location with Birmingham.

                  • 46,032 - Did well on location. Not great on dates

                    1) 9230 pts 4 yrs off - 3.2 km - Guessed to recently and was at the foot of the wrong bridge in London. I thought it miight be across from parliament.
                    2) 9924 pts 0 yrs off - 3.5 km - Went with the most likely location in Greece. Lucky on the year.
                    3) 9294 pts 1 yrs off - 155.6 km - The first car looked like it was from Belgium, but the rest of the scene said Germany. I figured it was a German city close to Belgium and considered Cologne but went with Frankfurt.
                    4) 8836 pts 5 yrs off - 2.8 km - Writing looked Hungarian and there are lots of photos from Budapest, so I went there. I thought it might be during the war.
                    5) 8748 pts 5 yrs off - 13.1 km - Went with the West side of Johannesburg close to Soweto. Guessed too late near the year of MJ's death.

I was on the wrong end of the Tower Bridge and just a little early. I did pretty good on locations, but father off on time today.

                      • man, I suck at this game
I'm embarassed to put my score up

I may be small, but I'm slow.

                        • This game is really fun, but I decided a couple months ago that it's just too time consuming for me to play on a daily basis. I have the type of personality that won't just let me guess and move on. I spend too long analyzing the pictures. That says more about me than it does about the game itself, but I can live with that. I've had the most fun with it when I sit on my laptop with my 15 year old, 11 year old, and 9 year old around and we all scour the picture together for clues.
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

I haven't posted about it much lately (esp, not today, with an embarrassing 35,000 performance), but I play every day and have fun text exchanges with my two oldest daughters who also play. But I have more time on my hands than you or most here. In fact, except when I'm heading out for an early round, before I start my exercise routine I will have played Wordle, Quordle, three different Octordle games, Strands, Connections, Spelling Bee, and Timeguessr. Takes about an hour, and I don't have to bill anyone. Life is good.

Same. Because I would spend an hour just on that game alone.
