Just announced at E3 today. Looks pretty sweet I guess. Comes with a 250 GB HD and is only $299.

Microsoft also annouced it would partner with ESPN3.com to bring 3,500 live sporting events to the xbox each year. Bascially, you can now watch espn3.com on your tv via your XBOX. Also pretty sweet.

It would if Sony would let it.

Why is Bluray important at all in a video system? (Serious question)

My Wii doesn't even play DVDs.

Its only relevant if you only have the money/space for 1 DVD/blu-ray/gaming machine in your entertainment system.

Or if a game developer wants to release a game on a single disc instead of making you swap discs at certain points. The reason metal gear solid 4 was ps3 exclusive is because it's a huge game and konami didn't want to release it with multiple discs.

I guess that's another reason. How many games have reached that point though?

You can find blu ray players for close to $70 now.

Sure the PS3 is a great blu ray player, but that is only because Sony is using it as leverage.

Now you just need to buy MW2.

There have been a fair amount judging from what my google search turned up. Forza 3 has 2, mass effect 2 has 2, Infinite undiscovery has 2, Oblivion GOTY edition has 2, Blue dragon has 3, final fantasy XIII has 3, and Lost odyssey has 4. Thats all that turned up though.

In other news, the old 360's drop in price $50 tomorrow morning... if i didn't already have a ps3 i might jump on that.
