Last time I got called in for federal jury duty, I was cut from the lineup.
It was pretty funny though. The case was against a dude that had allegedly set up fair sized marijuana garden/farm on federal land in southern Utah. They had all of the prospective jurors ushered into the room to hear the charges and then to stand up and give a spiel on who we were and what we did and whether we had any conflicts of interest. It was at that point that you could see lightbulbs going off all over the place for folks who wanted out of JD. I never heard so many diatribes on the legalization of marijuana in one room in my life. Of course, most of those people were dudes who I assumed were comic book and Doritos connoisseurs by their appearances anyways. Jury duty reminds me of the DMV in a lot of ways.Comment
