    Snow Day Again?

The fluffy stuff is falling and they're calling for 20"-28" overnight. If we get what they're saying this will be 2 weeks in a row of no church and the 3rd time in the last two months.

Most of the schools here let out early if they didn't cancel. I just hope the mess is cleared up by Monday.

Kind of. I am sick of the snow here. It's not like Utah or other climes that are used to it. They don't have the budgets here to maintain and clear the roads like they should. So everything literally shuts down. Add to that thousands and thousands of drivers who don't know how to drive in the snow and it makes for quite a mess.

A little further south, and it is just a whole lot of rain. My wife is hoping that the (small) chance of sleet will be enough to canael the youth temple trip tonight.

I was in DC for a big blizzard in '03. We didn't have to work for a week. Good times.

We won't get nearly that much up here, but the kids are getting out of school in an hour.

Rather than viewing this as a negative, I see everything shutting down on occasion as a welcome relief from the daily grind. If it snows, stay home and enjoy the break.

We've been without employment for 7 months. We need no relief from any daily grind. The snow here practically makes it impossible to do ANYTHING. We are already usually bored in the house day after day, now we are just even more bored when our options are taken away. I hope I go into labor, that will make things a lot more exciting. Everyone pray I go into labor, TIA.

                      Me too for obvious reasons.

Typically what happens is that we get a winter like this, they need more trucks and whatnot and they build it into next year's budget. Then, we get about an inch of snow and the trucks and salt ordered for the following year are decreased. It is the cycle of the Northern VA snow removal.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I sure as hell hope the storm doesn't close the airport(s). My sister and her husband are in DC now and are due home Sunday. We have had there kids (2 and 6) since last Friday.

There is a reason God designed people of have kids when they are (reletively) young

I may be small, but I'm slow.

LOL. I am sure by Sunday they'll be able to get out. But tonight or tomorrow might be tough. Last weekend my mom was flying out of Nashville with a connecting flight in Charlotte and then into Richmond. Last weeks snow/ice delayed her a day.

I hope you go into labor Gidget, if anything to break up the monotony. I know what you mean about snow days, especially with little kids who don't want or can't go outside because of the weather. We're in that same boat. Winter can't be over soon enough for us. I'm tired of the snow and cold/
