Awesome. A mini with a stick would be a blast.

No stick but it has paddle shifters...

A stick would be fun but not in Houston traffic.

I was excited to have paddle shifting in my 300S, but the car keeps taking over and bumping it back to auto. It will hold a low gear down a hill, but just regular driving around the paddles don't last long in control. That's ok. I have total control on my bike.

I’ve had paddle shifters in my car for the last decade and I’ve never used them for anything. They are basically useless.

I use them on steep grades and that's about it. Most of the time it's coming down either side of Parley's Canyon.

Yeah, there are mostly pointless. And nothing like a true manual transmission.

Congrats! I drove my daughter's MIni around today to make sure a recent metal wire in the sidewall of her tire didn't ruin it, and I was reminded as I am every time I drive it what a fun car it is.

Get one of those Jeep Wrangler 392 with the 6.4L Hemi's. 470/470 HP/lb-ft of torque. Balanced.

What about your Alpine home and your other one? Oh yeah, probably no upgrading that.

I'm hoping to buy a used Jeep sometime later this year as I've been consolidating my fleet as well. Sold my Chrysler 300 that served me well for many years and am driving the "spare car" a 2000 Dodge Durango that has made it through me driving it for 8 years as well as all four kids during high school/college. It has reached family heirloom status - they don't even want me to repaint it.

The problem with me getting a jeep is that although it is my turn to get the next car (wife recently paid off her car), wife wants a jeep to be her next car and we have different views on what model of jeep to get (we can't even agree on the number of doors). On second thought, maybe I'll buy a Porche instead. When we got married 35 years ago, wife had both a Porche and a Jeep and ended up selling both when we become parents and started hauling kids around.

Believe me, I am tempted. But I will probably go with a Rubicon X. Comes fully loaded and with a lift, 35-inch tires, steel bumpers, and a winch. You don't need to add anything.

When I first got the Macan S my wife wouldn't drive it. Now it is her favorite car. We both love it, but 3 cars for 2 people is too big of a hassle. We could keep the Porsche I guess, but a more practical choice is to keep the Kia Telluride. It is a great car and it has 3 rows for when we need to haul a crowd, which happens quite a bit. It is also great for road trips.

My wife loves Jeeps too, so we will likely alternate between the Telluride and the Jeep.

I have been looking at prices and I am surprised how much our 2007 Rubicon is worth. It helps that it only has 60K miles. Jeeps hold their value surprisingly well.

e63s vs m5 comp. can’t decide. the green color you can get on the m5 is nice, but the interior is not as good as the e63.

I mentioned on here that I was on a waiting list for the Ioniq 5 last year. When the ioniq 6 was announced I moved to that since it looked 100% better and I would rather have a sedan than a hatchback. It also only added a couple months wait. I’ve had it for a week now and have really liked it. The regenerative braking is the biggest thing to get used, this being my first electric car. I barely ever have to use the brakes.
