Most fuel pumps are a metallic silver color. Hopefully it's not actually dirty b/c then you'd have contaminated fuel. Probably has some black plastic on it as well.Originally posted by old_gregg View Postwhat color?"Seriously, is there a bigger high on the whole face of the earth than eating a salad?"--SeattleUte

Just a reminder to everyone that dealers make most of their money off of used car sales. I had to fight my dealer to get out of my lease without paying additional money. He gave me a big story about the reconditioning work they would need to do (on a 19k miles vehicle) and replacement of non-original wheels/tires, etc.). Anyway, my Q5 is now listed on the dealer's website for $8,600 more than I sold it back to them. And of course, they didn't do a single thing to it before putting it back up for sale."It's devastating, because we lost to a team that's not even in the Pac-12. With the electrical issues my wife's RAV4 has had, we're thinking about a Lexus RX 350 as a replacement. A close second is the new Volvo XC90. It's a really nice vehicle that checks all of our boxes (and really impressed us on the test drive), but there are too many reports of issues on various Volvo forums for us to get one now.Not that, sickos.

Probably 15 or so since we'd buy the 2016 model. Unfortunately, Volvo has had problems with water getting in the cabin, software issues, and may owners reported noise from the suspension that seems to start around 4,000-5,000 miles. My wife doesn't want to have the car in the shop all the time, so we're looking at the Lexus (though all things being equal, she'd prefer the Volvo). The new Lexus looks pretty sharp. The interior is really nice, and a tremendous upgrade from the last version. It certainly doesn't drive like an X5, but it's a comfortable ride, which I assume is important when you're hauling a baby around.Originally posted by old_gregg View Postsaint making it in the world

If looking for new... have you taken the MB GLE 300d out for a spin? GLE is the old ML.Originally posted by thesaint258 View PostProbably 15 or so since we'd buy the 2016 model. I don't need a new car. What I need is a new garage. I hate not having a 3-car garage. I have a shed that holds most of lawn and sports equipment, but I only have room for two vehicles in the garage, and now I don't know which one to leave outside. The seemingly easy choice would be the one that my son drives and that has 190,000 miles on it. But it is also the convertible with the fabric roof that really should be kept in a garage both in the summer sun and the winter snow/ice. The next obvious choice would be the truck because, well, it's a truck. But it is also brand new. And black. So do I relegate the M5 to the RV pad? Of course, it only has 47,000 miles on it and is the one vehicle I own that is actually appreciating in value provided I don't abuse it by racking up the miles or keeping it outside."It's devastating, because we lost to a team that's not even in the Pac-12.
