That car was too when out for DDD about 18 years ago. He equates buying used cars and used underwear.

I'm trying to get past those rims which look like the kind you put on your sons pinewood derby car or when you are building a Lego vehicle. Not a fan.

also, lucky nobody was hurt. those tiny cars seem ridiculously dangerous in an accident. The smart car is even worse.

No one was hurt. The Mini actually has a good safety reputation, and this accident bore it out pretty well. My son ran a red light (wasn't paying attention) and got t-boned by a Subaru Outback. Direct hit to the side of the Mini. The Outback looks totaled - hood mangled, front fascia completely gone, front support torn off, radiator pushed into the engine, both front fenders pushed back into the doors. The Mini had the sheetmetal torn and the panel in front of the door took a direct hit, but the door wasn't even pushed inward. Windows still roll up and down, all the panel gaps still look straight, etc.
