PLU is in Spanaway? I thought it was still Tacoma.Originally posted by The_Tick View PostPacific Lutheren University in Spanaway, Wa. It is where my wife recieved her BA in Elementary Ed.
My In-Laws live about 10 minutes from the campus and I think that is part of the draw for her. The only person that she loves in the world more than her mother and myself is my FIL. He is her hero.
She should have applied for UPS as well. I just saw that campus for the first time today and it is gorgeous.
Both are very good schools. So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Cal-Poly-SLO is a great school in many fields. I've taught a few seminars there to the architecture students, and found them to be some of the brightest design students I have met any place. The campus looks pretty good (a few terrible BYU-like buildings from the sixties), with lots of nice, brutal, concrete buildings, and SLO is just about as pretty a town and nice a community as one could hope to find. I seriously wanted to move there after my first visit.Originally posted by Jarid in Cedar View PostCal-Poly-SLO

I do think HFN accused me of being a closet BYu fan. Maybe I have been outed."The first thing I learned upon becoming a head coach after fifteen years as an assistant was the enormous difference between making a suggestion and making a decision."

Yes. I watched this sort of thing happen.Originally posted by The_Tick View PostTicks Kid 1 was almost 2 and cute as a button. Now she has grown up and is almost a woman. I fell in love with my wife and my daughter at the same time. (Surfah I know will be able to relate to this one for sure.)
Tick I can't believe you're only a few years shy of grandfatherhood.

My SIL was a Logger. UPS does have a nice campus, and is a great school if you have parents that like to spend a lot of money on college.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostPLU is in Spanaway? I thought it was still Tacoma.

Yeah but what about those ugly brown uniforms that they have to wear? With those short shorts and the brown crew socks? I know that everyone relies on UPS, especially around the holidays, but I wouldn't wish that job* on my worse enemy.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostMy SIL was a Logger. We have a plan on the bearing of grandchildren....We will help her with schooling even if she gets married. But we aren't helping the husband. We will help them until a kid arrives. Because if you can financially afford a child you don't need help from mom and dad for school.
Both of my kids have known this for a long time.
