It never occurred to me. Twitter is full of public individuals. But you do have me interested in this legal advice. What kind of legal troubles has Viking got himself into?

I see a zillion politicians tweeting daily.

Ha. Unfortunately the stories you're hoping for don't exist.

Oh, you mean their aides who are posting for them? Or perhaps those who get themselves in trouble through too much public exposure?

My acknowledgement of the trolls is done. This isn't a tough thing to grasp - Viking could post, but will refrain from doing so as things are going extremely well for him in his line of work, and it's best to stay off social networking or message boards.

All of that did occur to me. What is laughable is that one of our board's 'free market' guys is having a basic personal freedom curbed by force of threat coming from private enterprise.

I'm just enjoying how this was so sudden, immediate and absolute that Viking was unable to do this on his own. Does he at least get one hour a day for exercise and fresh air?

I think what she is trying to say is that things were not going well for Viking in his work, which is why he was participating so much here. Now that things are going well, he is going to lay low.

I see what this is now: Viking's attempt to let us know he got promoted.

So, he can visit the board, but not post, right? LOL.

Wait, what? You're making it sound like this was a personal decision, whereas before you said it was due to "work regulations." What's the truth?

Due to work regulations, Viking has to say goodbye to all social media/message board involvement.

The family Viking will continue to exist on this board, but the eldest brother will no longer be a part of it, I am sad to say.

Why didn't he say goodbye himself? Or, if this was so top secret and important, why did he say anything at all, especially via proxy?
                        PLesa excuse the tpyos.

Seriously. He has logged in today. He could have said a very easy goodbye that would not have gotten him in trouble. LOL. Seriously.

Perhaps he decided to man up and serve out the remaining 2 months of his 'voluntary 12 month leave of absence'?

Well, I've watched him on Bloomberg more than you, so I guess that might make him a public figure, if I stretch my imagination.
