How about both. Cool that you even know how to use the internet. Lame that you like the soap opera. In full disclaimer, I like the soap opera as well. But I don't get cool points for understanding how to use the internet.Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostAnyone who would describe Babs as ever having been "incredibly cruel" has either led a charmed life or has a tendency to overshoot by a country mile when describing anything. Babs can be adroit with the verbal barb (!), but I've never seen her be genuinely cruel to anyone, except to DDD and, as noted above, and no one questions the appropriateness in that case.
Finally, I'm trying to decide if it's cool or lame that a 57 year-old grandpa enjoys, in small doses, the soap opera aspects of an internet message board. Okay, I'll go with lame, but I can't help myself.

What? It is about you. It was your post!Originally posted by RobinFinderson View PostStop making it about me. How did Christ respond to the pharisees? Was he Christlike when he called them hypocrites, or when he pointed out their cruelty when they were prepared to stone the adulterer?
OTOH, by your subtle comparison to Christ I see you are either meekly mocking Him or your ego is so far out of control that there is not much point here.

So I dont expect you or anyone to be perfect but maybe at least as long as it takes to string a post together you can be consistent?

There's no doubt babs was unabashedly cruel to wuap on his first two days, but 1) he so asked for it, and 2) one would think that would be a matter between babs and wuap, not between robin and babs and wuap.

Creekster, thank you, but I think Robin's posts speak for themselves.

When you preface your pleas with something as mean spitited as this it sounds like so much self-serving hot air, at least to me. We should all be meek and kind except you, when you want to tell somone else to be meek and kind. Is that about it?

Sure, but that is far wide of the point.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostIsn't it when they are being mean little SOBs that we generally ask for them to increase their kindness? Is pointing out their behavior while asking them to be nice really that bad or mean?
