I have an annoying habit of repeating lines from movies. One of my favorite lines from Ghostbusters is spoken by Louis Tully as possessed by Vinz Clortho the Keymaster as portrayed by Rick Moranis. This is not one I repeat often as it's long and difficult to remember. But it is kind of awesome:

"During the rectification of the Vuldronaii, the Traveler came as a large, moving torb. Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the Meketrex supplicants they chose a new form for him - that of a giant sloar. Many shubs and zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the sloar that day, I can tell you!"

I found this on wikipedia, of course. It blows my mind that there is someone out there who has so much free time, and is so dorktastic, that he can actually sit there watching the DVD and pausing it so he can write down this ridiculous quote and place on the web. Bravo, dork. Bravo.

I think he's being too hard on people who like movie lines.

I'm actually very impressed that you can keep straight terms like torb, sloar, shub and zuul. It took me forever to memorize "Jabberwocky"" because of the non-words.

This BYU game has altered the landscape for the entire season. It has likely prevented Bradford from repeating as Heisman winner. It has put the relative value of the UT vs. OU game in doubt. It has utterly changed the landscape.

Frankly, that Utah is ranked no. 17 after losing its starting QB and a whole bunch of key defensive starters speaks volumes about the respect it generated for itself with that win.

because applying that logic to BYU's current #9 ranking, after BYU lost Collie, Unga did not play, and most of its line graduated speaks even greater volumes about the respect it generated for itself. The pounding media glare also speaks loudly.

I will say that this game is not nearly as important as the BSU vs. OU game.

In my mind, that was one of the greatest games ever in college football.

After reading Waters' post I now realize that the Sugar Bowl game meant nothing, and that in a single game against OU, BYU has become king again. A most bitter pill to swallow. I wish Utah could just cancel its season. I mean, what's the point? Besides, I wasted all that money I spent on plane tickets to New Orleans!!!

He apparently doesn't watch much ESPN or follow sports anywhere else (except, perhaps, the Daily Herald) if he thinks the media coverage has been greater for the BYU win than it was for the Sugar Bowl. Half the story about the BYU/OU game has been about Bradford being knocked out, not the win.

I understand BYU fans being excited about the win, but it is a stretch to call the game 'stunningly entertaining.'
