I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why Oklahoma thought it would be a good idea to get away from Bradford. I get trying to establish the run to set up the pass, and I even get that they have great backs, but for Bradford to only have 94 yards in a half just seems like poor game planning to me.
With that said, BYU's D was sick. That goal line stand and giving them only a FG was just awesome to watch.
Hall worked tonight, I don't think he was anything fantastic, but he held up well on that last drive. He was flushing out of the pocket too early in the earlier parts of the game, but he kept it together when he need to, and was able to spread the ball around, which was great.
Keep the intensity alive (don't have the drop off we saw last year after the UCLA game) and we should be in for a good season, with our favorable schedule.
Incidentally, what are everyone's thoughts on BYU's possibilities for leapfrogging Boise for next weeks poll? Will it happen? How far does BYU move with this win?

Surfah, I'd say the 1996 defense played games at this level quite a bit.
I love that BYU confused the hell out of the OU line by feinting and bringing guys from unexpected places. The linebackers had more free shots on the quarterback than I've seen in forever. It was beautiful to see pressure on the QB after the standard "rush three and hope" strategy that was so prevalent last year.
Max Hall's last drive was nails. That said, I had hoped to see more improvement from him. The pass to Jacobsen on the right sideline was a TD if Hall doesn't underthrow it so much, and he flat out missed receivers more than once.
He's fine, but IMO, not great.
So the defense gets the game ball. I didn't expect them to do so well, and if we can get this kind of performance out of these guys for the rest of the season, I expect big things.

In Bronco's interview, he said he moved football up to priority #4. So, I am going to say it lies in the difference from when football is #4 and #5 on the priority list.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostThat was a great play call. Amen, how many passes did he truly miss tonight? A 35 yard corner route to the far side of the field. Other then that he was pretty spot on. I dont care if he had not completed a pass all game, he completed the one to Jacobsen that mattered.Originally posted by Sizzle View PostI'm starting the Max Hall defenders of CougarUteForum, and guess what... you're not on the list buddy.*Banned*

Weak sauce. You've posted better troll material than that. Also do you realize that you're not on Cougarboard? There isn't a single member of this site who will read your post and have your back.Originally posted by Colly Wolly View PostHey little bro, your team has done well with busting the BCS, but you still can't get over your focus on BYU or your need for validation. For the life of me, I cannot understand why. Tonight is not the night.

I'm on board. Max stepped up when he had to on a huge stage against a legit opponent. This makes up for TCU and Utah last year in my book.Originally posted by Sizzle View PostI'm starting the Max Hall defenders of CougarUteForum, and guess what... you're not on the list buddy."Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic
