Take Me to Another Place: BYU vs Tennessee

Just got back from the game. An awesome 10-15 minutes there at the end.

Why are we not runnning the ball more? Good Hell.

Tennessee was dumb going for it on 4 and 1, TWICE! Should have taken the points and won the game.

They put a lot of pressure on Zach, bringing 6-7 guys. Is there not a counter to that?

BYU fans really showed up. They filled the traditional visitor sections, and then spilled over into the upper deck of one of the endzones. Also, a lot of blue interspersed throughout the stadium, especially in my section and down in Donut's section.

That TD by Zach in the first OT was simply awesome. What a throw.

Tennessee fans are in a tailspin. Remind me a lot of BYU fans.

I love a lot of people, but not everybody.

It was 99.9% immediately before the throw to Simon. Sounds about right.

A couple of thoughts from a non-expert:

1) Wilson is good by any measure, and exceptional for a true freshman. I was impressed by his arm, but amazed by his poise under late-game pressure. He made some mistakes, but TN rightly identified him as vulnerable, and threw everything they could at him. He literally threw it right back in their face, and made them pay.

2) That last TD run was nothing but smash mouth and guts. BYU just flat out pushed the Vols the last two yards. I hope they remember what they can do, now that they've proved it to themselves, and don't get too lazy to keep doing it.

3) Good things happen when Sister Wilson prays.

We are so much better in big games on the road. It's mind boggling

I loved that play so much. An assertion of will to end the game. A fistfight for five yards was perfect.

wilson had better be exceptional for a true freshman since he's truly a sophomore.

Did any one see how Simon got so open? Did Simon do a double move? He leaves the frame on TV before the pass, but I was really, really surprised that his defender either lost him or gave up on the play.
