There's no game thread yet, but I saw over the weekend that Tennessee's starting corner got arrested for threatening to slap the s*** out of a woman and shoot up the school. He has been suspended indefinitely, which i'm sure means he'll be back in time to face the Cougs.

We are going to compete well against the next three opponents and get at least one win. I am optimistic we steal wins against Tennessee and USC. Which will make the Utah curse more frustrating to me. The narrative is a massive and widening talent gap will prevent us from ever beating Utah again. Top to bottom it may be difficult to match their talent level, but our 1s are good enough to play with and beat our fair share of Power 5 teams. Just never one named Utah.

The narrative is garbage. If the talent gap were that large the games would be blow outs more often and they would have a lot more NFL players than we do. I'll concede that they have more depth but that shouldn't make much difference in the season opener.Originally posted by Omaha 680 View Post
