Simple: easily understood. It seems plain to everyone that Ty was one of the biggest issues with our offensive woes this year. I hope so, and that replacing him is a simple or plain way to get things going in the right direction. I fear that history will show otherwise, and that this change made no difference. He's a pretty smart guy. I'm not buying the narrative that's being sold. While I love Sitake, I think Ty is the sacrificial lamb to give him more time to figure things out.
I think Mangum was a huge factor in the train wreck, coupled with the lack of productivity of our seniors on offense.

I think all of that is true AND I think Ty underperformed. It’s hard to survive your job as an OC being in the bottom 10 in offense no matter what else is going on.
Has anyone claimed that this is a "simple fix" that would solve all the problems? Maybe I missed it.

I hope you're right, and it's that simple to fix/get things headed in the right direction. My fear is that you're wrong, and history will show the problems go much deeper.

That’s funny. Of course there are other problems. This season was a train wreck.
Let's be honest, last year the offense sucked too. We just happened to have an NFL QB and RB that made Ty look better than he was.

Yeah, measuring overall offensive quality is tricky (at least if you want to do it carefully and controlling for strength of schedule, etc) but the 2016 offense benchmarks out to roughly the same offensive quality as the Riley N/Doman offense of 2012. Unconditionally, that's a below average offense in the Bronco years, but conditional on NFL quality at those position it's really quite bad.
