i bought the wii version for my kids last year and it is terrible. too many interceptions to make the game even seem real - seriously, my 5 year old intercepted me 5 times in one half last week.

i am not a big gamer at all, so the only other version i have is 2005 for PS2, which i enjoyed quite a bit for several years...

They are fun. It is pretty much the only game I really play on-line.

I understand both Madden and NCAA have a long ways to go in terms of gameplay for the Wii. I have no first-hand experience, but I've heard stories similar to yours.

you were most likely playing as BYU right? So I am not sure what you are complaining about, that seems fairly accurate to me.

Me too, and it helps to have a FS with a lot of speed. In the Cover 3 packages (or Cover 1 out of a 4-3) the FS or the SS has one of the middle intermediate zones, and you can get a ton of picks from that spot in the '09 version. Downside to the Cover 1 is that your CBs are screwed if the WRs on the outside are good, or run streaks, etc.

Mix in an occasional blitz for pressure, and you can usually keep the computer in check. Especially when you score 60 points a game.

This is the strategy I use when I play as BYU. Oddly enough, it is almost the exact same strategy that BYU uses on the real gridiron - vanilla zone defense with an occasional blitz and hope you can outscore the other team.
