My younger brother texted me yesterday expressing a desperate need to beat Utah, because "dude, they don't even hate us anymore--they pity us." When I asked where he was getting that from, he said one of his CB friends shared a friends-only link to a site called Utah by 5 where the posters were all super apathetic about the rivalry game. The guy who started the thread even admitted he didn't really hate BYU, he just feels sorry for them. I immediately asked if the guy who started the thread was called LAUte, and he texted back, "wtf, how'd you know?" I reassured him that LA Ute could not hate BYU more, and instructed him to go figure out which thread on that site has the most posts.

Never change, LA Ute. Never change.

When BYU does beat Utah I'm certain that LAU can find solace in finding something that a BYU player or student or administrator did that disappointed him.
