Derik served in my mission my last year. He and some of our fine Carbon County posters' best drinking buddy and he almost threw down in what would have been one hell of a spectacular fight.

I loved em both. Seriously, Vai might have been an exceptional golden gloves boxer who put Jose Canseco in the fetal position, which undoubtedly made the world a better place, but ask yourself who you want in your corner when the shit hit the fan? Is there any question where Derik ever stands?
