It doesn't seem to make much sense to flirt too heavily with any of the schools currently looking (other than USC) if there's a chance LSU and/or Georgia might be looking for a coach this year.

If that was his last game at LSU Les Miles goes out in style.

Why is LSU firing Les Miles again? Do they have an agreement with Chip Kelly in place on the down low? Otherwise, who's this coach out there that's better than Miles?
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

They are LSU fans, they haven't thought past step #1. Thankfully they are also rich LSU fans so they can afford his $15 million buyout. I'd be tipping my cap if that were my consolation prize.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. With all the vacancies, Miles should be a hot commodity.
