I have been forced to listen to the Zone today as the lab next to my office is getting work done and that's what they are listening to. The zone is now KSL owned as is embarrassingly Ute fan boy. Like it's beyond just coverage. It's very pro pac-12 and hostile to the Big-XII. I don't get how a ksl product is this bad.

I really see little difference between the two programs, tbh. BYU has more of a legacy and better branding, but Utah has more recent success. Winning will do a lot for your program. And getting the invite to the PAC payed dividends.Originally posted by Art Vandelay View PostWasn't sure where to put this.
Is there any objective measurement that compares the "value" of Utah to BYU from media standpoint?
Points that may factor in. I don't know- I'll start with the hardest pill for me to swallow. Utah football has been superior to BYU for the last decade, and most of the 2000s
- BYU men's basketball has been more consistent that Utah for the last decade. Though some how Kysko got a team into the Sweet 16.
- Utah is a better fit for the P12 (and B10) due to their research and non-religious affiliation
- Sports other than the big 2? BYU probably better, but let's be honest. No one cares
- TV ratings. I think BYU still pulls better numbers within Utah. I could be wrong about this one, but I know during the Utes Fiesta Bowl years that abysmal BYU teams had higher ratings
- National footprint. This is the biggest difference between the 2 universities. Due to the affiliation with the CoJCoLDS BYU will always bring more fans to random away games, and put eyes on TV's outside the Wasatch front.
I keep saying it--we're in the same boat. There are tumultuous times ahead in college football for both of us.

I would agree with the UNLV selection.Originally posted by Art Vandelay View Post
No ideas if AB in SLC is a real place. Sounds like a South Park strip club name. The BYU one made me chuckle.Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Art and Bo probably own one of these bad boys:

Ute Twitter in meltdown mode because BYU names new facility at LES, "Club 22". Good grief.

Kind of a dumb name. Given the fact Utah somehow finds a way to make it about them and find offense - I LOVE IT!Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostUte Twitter in meltdown mode because BYU names new facility at LES, "Club 22". Good grief.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."
