I think the sad reality is in 5 years the #22 isn't going to mean much to most Utah players. Not because it shouldn't, but because to a 18 year old 5 years ago is the same as 50years ago. It's possible their legacy will last for decades like Pat Tillman and ASU, but I doubt there will be the same emotional connection to players who never knew Jordan or Lowe.

I don't even understand what significance the number 22 has to Utes at all.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Clyde Drexler and my beloved Blazers regularly kicked the Jazz's ass in the playoffs in the 90s. Utah fans have a long memory. I'm kind of surprised they didn't go with Vernon Maxwell's number 11 to claim as their own- Mad Max regularly taunts the Jazz on twitter.

Could Ute Twitter please specify the radius from RES within which the use of the number 22 requires at minimum a tribute to their former players and potentially a cash donation?

Anybody interested in grabbing a buddy and golfing with Kyle and Kalani?

I happen to know a local non-profit auctioning off this particular item during a fundraiser mid-September. It'll cost you $150 to get a ticket into the event to bid on the prize - or for $2K you can take a table of your closest 9 friends with you. (To the event - not the golf. Sorry!)

And it's BYU that has the race issues.

                  Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I’ve been consistent in stating the fact that the UofU is an inherently racist institution for as long as it’s nickname refers to a group of indigenous people. It doesn’t help that certain people in its fan base have low IQs and self awareness that often makes them look racist.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. Big Game Boomer in town for the USU game tonight and Utah twitter behaving pretty much like you would expect.

Smart guy. Unlike Jefe, Boney Fuller, or even CUF (RIP) he has figured out how to annoy Utah fans, by talking about BYU, and monetize them “not caring about TDS”.

I’m legitimately confused by the portion of the fanbase that thinks well attended losses are better than ugly wins.
