I don’t disagree, as I mentioned a couple posts ago. Just remember that the stripper isn’t actually into you.Originally posted by falafel View Post
One thing that might be overlooked in this discussion of content creators capitalizing on Cougar fans' desire for acceptance and praise is the fact that these podcasts and videos are constantly putting the BYU name out there. Who cares if they are doing it because of clicks, those clicks are important in today's world. The more clicks, the more exposure, the more exposure, the more opportunities to expand the university and its sports programs.

I dunno. After a while, the stripper might fall for a customer that consistently pays well and is a nice, clean young man from Provo.Originally posted by SteelBlue View Post

I'm reminded of an evening when I was walking from my office in SF to BART and as i was in a crosswalk I saw a VERY attractive woman, not at all slutty or cheap-looking. When i got to the corner and was going to cross over to the other side, she came up to me, smiled charmingly, and asked, "Would you like some company this evening?" "Uh, no," was my reflexive reply but as I walked away I was re-thinking my response and wondered what might have been. But then I had to admit to myself that the only bulge in my pants she was interested in was my wallet.Originally posted by SteelBlue View Post

I spent my honeymoon in Paris (surprise! surprise!) and one night MJ was feeling sick from a head cold. It was late, probably around 9pm, and all stores in France notoriously close before then. I asked the hotel front desk if there was a pharmacy that was open and they said there was one up the street a bit htat was open 24 hours. So I set off up the street, which was north of the hotel. After about a half mile walk I found the pharmacy, which was at Place Pigalle. If you know anything about Paris, Pigalle is in the heart of the red light district, which is probably why the pharmacy was open so late. I went in and bought some cold medicine and started to head back to hte hotel. On my way I passed several "ladies of the night" and one of them asked me as I walked by "You looking for something?" to which I responded "I already found it." I was a poor newly married college student so the bulge in my pocket was much smaller than PACs."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Mountaineer Paul joins the BYU hype train. Sounds like he's a recovering alcoholic who barely leaves his home and even though I only skimmed this, the guy seems sincerely affected by his trip to Provo. If you skip to 38 minutes he's ordering a book of Mormon. It sounds like he was flown out by Explore Utah Valley and was supposed to make a video that he hasn't been able to make. So you get to decide if he's sincere or just feels bad for not getting his assignment turned in on time.

Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Not happening. We've been humbled as a program and fan base. Our past transgressions have turned us inward and recommitted Utah players to living right on and off the field. Magic is going to happen for us this week in Provo.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostMan, that would be fun if he got another 15-yd sideline penalty.
