The PAC died when they tried to get Texas and Oklahoma, who both said "no way" and instead invited Colorado and Utah. You don't bring in two mid-tier academic institutions to a conference that thinks it competes with the Ivy League on academics because they all went around smelling each others farts while the real conferences actually got to work.
