He should never watch another sporting event again and abandon every single team that he has ever been a fan of. Either that or become a BYU fan, I don't want someone like that in our fanbase.

To the victors go the spoils, you get to lord this over us for the next several years. That is the way.

He could always be a Harlem Globetrotters fan, I guess. I don't think they lose all that often.

      • 746 days since Utah beat BYU in football. When they play again it will be nearly 1,900 days since Utah beat BYU in football. Our true freshman and sophomores are undefeated against Utah. Our sophomores will finish their careers undefeated against Utah. Order has been restored. Nature is healing.

The game should be played every year btw.

Once the game started, I became even less confident the Utes would win the game. The entire game just felt different. BYU was better prepared, more motivated, and just ultimately a better football team than Utah. The game wasn't a circumstance of an underdog playing a great game to win, it was the better team winning. The game wasn't as close as the score. BYU at no point was in danger of even losing the game. It was a pretty dominating win for BYU.

The streak was going to end eventually. Nothing last forever.

I hope the rivalry continues to be played in the future. '

I hate BYU and will always hate BYU. I hope you lose every game on your schedule moving forward.

          • By all accounts Britan Covey is a great (middle-aged) man. After watching UW nearly kill him a few years ago, it is apparent he is tough as hell. With all that said, i have a healthy disdain for him on the football field. I know he has never scored a TD against BYU, the 8x they've played during his tenure. His punt return on Saturday may have been his longest play against the Cougars. I take (a very petty) satisfaction in that.

I could maybe forgive him if he grad transfers. Maybe.

Does he have an 8th year left? I always thought this was his 7th year and that he already had redshirt, Medical redshirt/exemption, and a Covid year. But I don't follow Utah much so I could be wrong. Add two more years for his mission and that dude has got to be something like 30 years old at this point.

you could also take satisfaction in the fact that he’s almost certainly going to end up being a cte sufferer with limited mobility.

No, I don't wish that on anyone. Assuming he doesn't' somehow have another 2 years of eligibility left I doubt I will think about him at all going forward.

                    • Britain is a great young man and he has handled the rivalry with class. I certainly don't wish CTE on him (or anyone), but I agree that it is likely in his case.

                      • Congrats on the excellent win on Saturday. BYU beat us up and down the field. Sitaki and staff did a great job.

                          • I don't like any Coveys, especially the biggest fraud of them all, Steven R. Covey.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes.
