Wow. Instant replay is a joke sometimes."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

Neither team deserved to win, but Oregon deserved to lose slightly less!
It is cool to know that we run a lot of Wildcat now, it works 0 out of every 5 times. Two wrong replay calls, one cost Oregon one benefited. Replay still does and always will suck, it isn't about getting it right it is about adding commercials to broadcasts. If it was about getting it right each team would have a certain amount of challenges and could challenge penalties and everything else. /rant
Why was ASU passing the ball at the 4 yard line? They had two backs averaging 7 or so yards a carry and Berccovichi was killing Oregon on the keep? Two badly coached games.Get confident, stupid

So I saw this picture this morning and was wondering what the exact rule states about what is considered inbounds.
-f2d7d4a226576026_zps6s8wsjia.jpg
In searching I found a referee message board discussing the so called "heel-toe rule" while there appeared to be some disagreement between officials, or people pretending to be officials, about how rule should be applied. Their discussion mostly focuses on if the toe touches first and then the heel comes down out of bounds, but I don't see how it would apply differently to the other way. So does Omaha or Shaka want to comment on their opinion of does Addison's heel being down in bounds with the ball equal a catch or not? The rule is 2-2-7-c, but in searching through a PDF of the NCAA rule book for 2015 I can't find that exact rule.
FTR I said after the first replay that it wasn't a catch and that his toe was pretty clearly on the end line.Get confident, stupid

It is a shame that there aren't any active LDS people involved with the Utah program that could've borrowed some from a chapel in SLC for the Utes to use.Originally posted by Applejack View PostAlso, aren't those divider things that Oregon used against some rule, either NCAA rule or aesthetic rule? I think they stole them from the Eugene 3rd ward.Get confident, stupid

I didn't think it was a catch when I first saw it, but I didn't think there was indisputable evidence on replay. Each one of those camera angles had some issue."...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Knock it off. The toe was clearly out of bounds. Maybe the officials got the angle with the heel touching first.Originally posted by Northwestcoug View PostI'm no referee, and I don't visit referee message boards, but...

Not sure it would have mattered either way. Neither one of those defenses were going putting up much of a fight. The only way that game ends is with a turnover by an offense."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."
