They stuffed the run quite well. Michigan needs to upgrade the skill position speed quite a bit.

The local media made it sound as if surpassing last year's sack total was a foregone conclusion. Unblockable this and speed-to-burn that. The only difference in this year's game was the improvement of Michigan's oline in pass protection, but it wasn't so vastly improved as to yield no sacks to last year's Ute defense I'm guessing.

I was only able to sit through about a quarter and a half of that snoozefest, but I was entireley unimpressed with Michigan. The QB was just awful, the two runningbacks I a saw, #4 and the USC transfer, looked slow and I didn't see much speed on the outside - though that could be because the QB couldn't get them the ball. As I was watching, I was thinking I'd be pissed if BYU doesn't beat them by about 35-10.

Also, what's the deal with the ute football and basketball programs? In both sports, they've managed to put about as boring a product on the field as possible. Their offenses are unwatchable and because they play pretty good defense, they make the other team's offense pretty much unwatchable as well. They do win a fair amount, but for heaven's sake, I feel bad for their fans. Being indifferent, I was able to turn the channel, but their fans have to sit through that watching paint dry stuff from now until April.

I have never understood this line of thinking from football fans. Watching the defense is actually my favorite part of the game.

BYU is not going to be favored over michigan by 25 points. Knock it off.

I watched the entire game. Judas Covey had a nice game. Several catches and almost scored a touchdown.

I think our QB/TE/WR are probably better than Michigan's but I continue to worry about our ability to control the trenches on both sides of the ball. Utah's D-line may not have gotten sacks, but they were disruptive.

Utah has a good team and narrowly won at home partly because Michigan's usually reliable QB crapped the bed all night, throwing picks and overthrowing wide open receivers. That is all fixable. BYU will be very fortunate to get a win at Ann Arbor. Don't kid yourself.
