When the PAC beats each other up it's a sign they are all mediocre; when the SEC beats each other up it just shows how tough and good the whole conference is.

Heh. You guys have a one track mind. Maybe we should merge this thread with the rivalry thread.

Don't be ridiculous. He was mocking the SEC.

I hope not. Sark has been a good influence and has run a clean program. Give this a chance - 2 or 3 more years.

Yea, I am getting less enamored with college football. I wish in being ranked there was a component, say 33%, that gave weight to the football teams academic standing and moral standing.

That's the problem... They need Sneaky Pete back to win games.

Going for the FG in that situation with under 4 minutes left, down by 5 is a really shitty coaching move in my opinion -- a sign of a coach who would rather be able to blame the asshole kicker who can't be trusted than take the blame himself if the offense fails on 4th down.

Don't judge him on things that can't be quantified, like game-time decisions, wins and losses, or how players develop over time. Judge him on things like pureness of heart, drive, and classy speeches in front of donors.

I prefer judge him based on the crappy things he has said about his alma mater. Karma, baby.

USC should probably go back to paying running backs to play for them. It worked well a decade or so ago.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
