So - it seems like Boise and Utah fans are making a big deal of the "alligator roll" that Kaufusi used to bring down the QB.
And I find myself asking - is this a real thing? I mean, I understand not wanting to injure another player - which can come from twisting. But I also kind of think that particular situation called for a roll. I mean, the guy's lying there in the grass holding the QB's ankle. Is he supposed to just pull a Van Gundy and sit there holding his ankle until the guy throws the pass?
Seems to me that rolling and taking the guy down is what most coaches would be telling a player to do. Not to injure the guy, but to get him to go down before throwing the ball.
Am I wrong? What am I missing?

Not me...I went to bed when Boise was up 17-7. I assume you lost, no?
