We lost to Nevada at home. The best win on the schedule was Houston. This defense was supposed to be the deepest D BYU has had under Bronco. The offense was not the problem. The D wasn't good even before the injuries. Our schedule was incredibly soft and we still only managed an 8-5 season against crappy competition. Sorry, there isn't any gloss you can put on this season. It was plain awful.

LOL, one guy, yea the Oklahoma fan, came into my office and said it was a fun game to watch. Thought our guys fought hard and then smiled and said, even in the brawl.

I told him we have fans that are very worried about the BOT's feelins and how this affects how non-members look at us. He said, wow, you guys really do have a bunch of pussies for fans. No one gives a crap about your little brawl.

Again, i think the magnitude of this string pulling from the fan base is a direct result of Utah's success. I also think in general BYU fans in Utah are bigger babies than those outside. But a lot of that comes from interactions with insufferable Utah fans that excel at trolling.

I'm sure it could be much worse, but under Bronco, it hasn't. One 6-6, one 7-6, then the rest 8-5 or better.

Certainly under a different coach it could be much worse. Or better. But I don't think its very likely to get much better than Bronco over a 10 year span.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

I think you have an unreasonable expectation of the program.

depth is the difference between good programs and great ones. we are not a great program. the fact that we managed 8-5, beating a good cal team in the process, with the personnel available is impressive.

I am sorry that I expect too much if I am asking to beat Nevada at home and Memphis in a bowl game. It is really depressing if that is too much to ask for.

A good Cal team? They were 5-7. Its clear you find mediocre to be acceptible.

We had a dang good program 50 years ago. I know. I was one of the stalwarts in the program.

That's not what I'm referring to. Expecting our floor to be 10 wins each year is.

It depends on the schedule. 10 wins with this schedule seems pretty reasonable. Next year? no way in hell.
