According to his twitter, he's been all about #datcouglife for some time now. Coach Holliday notes that the Bomb Squad just got better and we're not done yet. I'll tweet Hank Shocklee and let him know. :rockon2:

Grew up in Rockland....if we had him last year we woulda beat Carey....no doubt in my mind.

I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

Which time last year -- the 68-24 or the 44-12 Carey wins?

Both. I also think had he been here it would have made the basketball game significantly different but I am more confident in the impact he would have had in football. You know he has brown skin and curly hair. That alone would have made all the Panthers pants a different shade of yellow than the issued ones.

              Ah, true.

Does he still live in Rockland and commutes to Pocatello? Can't imagine the locals would be too thrilled about that.

Hank Tuipulotu, son of Peter, committed to BYU. He plays out in the middle of nowhere in South Carolina. Don't think he was very sought after, according to scout Furman was his only other offer.

                  Thanks Clark Addison!
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Not anywhere close to the middle.

That's right. I've been playing basketball with him since he was 12 to toughen him up. This is, I believe, the first recruit I have known personally since Derik Stevenson, so expect big things!!!

Right. Hank lives in the largest metropolitan area between Washington DC and Atlanta, so not really the middle of nowhere.

I am not a talent evaluator, so I have no idea how good Hank is, other than he became a better basketball player than me when he was about 14. I don't think it is any secret that Pete is still a huge BYU fan, and has raised his kids up right. I have very rarely seen Hank outside of Sunday not wearing BYU gear. So maybe he is not highly recruited because of talent for all I know, but there has possibly also been a bit of assumption that he would end up at BYU no matter what. I really have no idea. I will say that he is a great kid, and will do BYU proud even if he never gets off the bench, just a quality kid from a quality family. And he has enough athleticism to be arguably the best basketball player in the stake, for what it's worth.

Oh, also, he has two younger brothers.

                          more Charles West news:

An 18-year-old man, Montay Kentral Howard, has been arrested in connection with the shooting of BYU recruit Charles West Sunday night, according to Coppell (Texas) police.

Police say Howard had a gun and walked toward West before firing multiple shots at him. One of the bullets hit West in the left arm. West told police that he and Howard had argued over money earlier in the day.

It's important to note that Coppell is an upper middle class suburb that has neighborhoods that range from very wealthy to standard middle class. It's not the part of town where shootings happen, and this kind of violence is pretty shocking for the residents. I have no idea, but I'm going to guess that the shooter probably isn't from there. Charles West is, so it begs the question of why he's having conversations with this thug over money. I'm glad he's ok and I hope things work out for him, but you have to wonder about the people he apparently associates with.

so much for the random shooting narrative.

West was treated at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas before being released Monday.
So West gets shot in Coppell but travels all the way down to Parkland Memorial (about 40 minutes away) to get treatment? I guess they know how to deal with gun shot wounds better at Parkland. Ask JFK.
