Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

He generated a fair amount of buzz in spring camp - but didn't see much action in fall camp due to some minor injuries. In spring coaches and fellow players both talked up how quickly he was picking up the scheme, how he played with aggression, and how he was making BYU tougher up front. In terms of long term upside he might actually be the best of the three classic NTs we will have in the rotation (Kesni, Marques, Travis), even though the other two will probably get more reps in this season. He and Travis are going to be a potent interior line combo in the next couple of seasons.Originally posted by Green Monstah View PostDid Kesni create a lot of buzz during camp? I know he's a big body, but I've heard a lot of hype for an unknown (to me, at least) D-Lineman.Ute-ī sunt fīmī differtī

I am quite frankly not sure what to make of this game.
I'm certainly optimistic for BYU's chances and see them pull out the win. Of course, I always predict a BYU win.
But it is also very obvious that Texas has some talent, their coaching has improved, the game is at their place, and they obviously aren't going to overlook this one. If fact, most games they might just be interested in winning, but this is one that I get the feeling they wouldn't mind RUTS.
At the same time, I like BYU's defense and think they have a chance. The depth in particular should help keep some bodies fresh if the longhorns' gameplan is to just pound it all game long. And BYU's offense showed enough to get me believing that if Texas focuses on Hill running, he will be able to complete some passes.
At this point, no outcome to this game will surprise me. But I actually like BYU's chances of winning.

I only watched the first couple minutes of that video, but it looked more like a highlight video. Again, just two minutes, but a very impressive two minutes if that was every snap and not just a highlight video.Originally posted by Pelado View PostI'm like LeBron James.

I think the first part is the highlights, then it gets into the lowlights later.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostI only watched the first couple minutes of that video, but it looked more like a highlight video. He's their starting right tackle. He actually was suspended for the first game by Charlie Strong and was reinstated yesterday so he'll play against BYU.Originally posted by myboynoah View PostRemember that Texas lineman that BYU declared ineligible? Those highlights are all in blowouts against the backups. Shows a decent arm and a strong runner. His career stats are 5-13 for 26 yards and 20 carries for 79 yards and a TD.
Texas should look to win this game with defense. I doubt they will put Swoopes in position to throw the ball much unless they fall behind.
