"Compliance is 6th" - The Official Busbygate Thread

Cougarboard is convinced that the only impermissible benefit was a pair if socks.

It's really very fascinating to watch that place as this all unfolds.

Never underestimate the power of a gift sock.

      I intend to live forever.
      So far, so good.

This place is just as humorous and fascinating to watch as this unfolds.

            This.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I don't think that counts as an NCAA violation, because the player whose family the Utah supporters were giving free beer to was not playing for their team.

It could have been an honor code violation though, if any of Hall's family members that accepted the free beer were students, and if they ingested it.

Based on his experience at Utah that is what he knows and so he projects this darkness towards BYU without knowing the facts.

I'm of the opinion MG emails him a word each day and he has to throw it into any conversation. Sort of like the missionary game while tracting. "Elder BITF, if you use the word 'raccoon' at the next door contact I'll buy you a Coke".

Used to play that game in my BYU student ward during Gospel Doctrine. I'd work in a word or words from the ER president during comments in the class. Only one I remember now is "moon rocks".

Lol. That would have been a piece of cake during last year's D&C/Church History discussions.

I think that year was Old Testament. It was still pretty easy - just framed it as some sort of analogy.

That's right. I taught GD the year it was D&C which was the year prior.
