LOL as an ex football player involved in the program you say he is clueless concerning his experience. Couldn't you both have had different experiences?

Rules don't matter anymore. Getting caught is what matters.
Why do you do this? You do have interesting things to say but why must you constantly bring up things that have nothing to do with the topic at hand? It's strange and offputting. End of rant.

Really, you said rules should be followed and responsibility taken.

The sponsoring institution doesn't even believe in that. They believe there are exceptions.

So if your kid breaks a house rule you make them pay a consequence, but if you do there is no consequence and you just tell the kid what???????

You don't recognize the society is becoming more and more, here is the rule, there will be consequences if broken, unless of course..............

My fear is BYU will come down heavy on this for PR purposes, not on principal.

Derek's love for and loyalty to Busby won't mean squat if he has broken the rules as alleged. You think the NCAA will care about how kind Busby was when he bailed Derek out?

People outside of the BYU program are also vouching for Busby. One of the radio stations interviewed Trevor Reilly about his experience so far with the NY Jets and then the host veered conversation to the Busby situation. Reilly pretty much said that Busby was one of the really good guys in local college football, and praised him up one side and down the other. Reilly's stated opinion however is that the NCAA is a joke and that college players should "get all they can without getting caught" more or less. In fact, word for word his reaction to BYU players receiving benefits was: "good for them!"

Jeff Lebowski's word for word reaction would be to say that they're "rather clueless."

I think Derik should be concerned for and stand by all of those who stood by him in his family during that dark period when he was arrested, including his family's good home teacher.

I'm just referring to whether or not he's clueless. He would know more about the situation than any of us.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I was referring to his idealistic view of Busby coming out of this relatively unscathed due to BYU and the players rallying around him. Admirable, but not realistic. Busby was fired by BYU six months ago. He is already toast. No one person is ever greater than the entire program.

I thought it was just in March of this year. Am I wrong?

                          Could be. Either way.

                            Not very scientific.

                            Too soon?

Bravo. Got a good laugh out of that.
