I'm more thinking of the angle that UCLA just squeaked by Texas, whom we depantsed last week. And if I recall correctly, Ute fans were up in arms over BYU's impressive win, postulating that their two wins were certainly more impressive than ours, and asking why weren't they getting any love. Nobody else in the country knew or cared what they were talking about. I mean... as long as we're talking about bitter jealousy and all...

Losing a Heisman candidate QB in the first quarter might have something to do with it being a tight game.

Also didn't Texas have their tackles back for this game? If so, sure helps to only be missing 1 instead of 3 starting players on the oline.

UCLA hasn't looked like a top 15 team in any of their first three games. No way Texas should have been up in the 4th Q to a top 15 team- I don't care what the excuse is. The truth is that these things sort themselves out a bit by October and my guess is that UCLA will be nowhere near the top 25 when all is said and done.

It is not just that game and these comments. Check the entire thread/board and any discussion about PAC 12. It is nothing but hate. Like I said, it is funny to see coming from this fan base.

Given that you're an otherwise reasonable person, I'd be inclined to let this slide. On the other hand, one of your peers likes to trumpet the "silence is assent" angle when no one objects, failing to realize that sometimes silence merely reflects the audience's incredulity that something really stupid has been uttered, much like an accidental fart that polite company chooses to ignore. So, lest you become emboldened to repeat this dumb observation because no one objects, I'll simply note that for many here, PAC 12 teams are their second favorite, if not favorite teams and the PAC-12 is our favorite conference (although I liked it more when there were only eight). Nothing but hate? I'll give you a mulligan.

Shoot, next time around I will let the admin know that they could have been invited if they were nicer. Wish we didn't miss out on the PAC because of that.
