BYU needs some sort of inter-fan acknowledgment protocol. There is no "fight on" or "hook em" or "boomer sooner" to greet fellow cougar fans in a unique way.

I was wearing my beetdigger on my way to WI and the TSA cancer-machine-keeper-guy said "Go Cougs! My favorite!" Of course I didn't realize what he'd said or that he'd said it to me until about 15 seconds later as I was putting my shoes back on b/c I usually don't make any eye contact or converse with those guys, but I think that was a pretty funny greeting in retrospect.

In case anyone is interested, here's an email I solicited from a colleague on food in Madison:

The go-to place in Madison is State Street Brats but it is a little bit of a dive/fast food http://www.statestreetbrats.com/ . The best thing to do is walk down state street which is a brick lined street with no traffic that leads to the capital. The entire street is restaurants, bars, and shops. If you are looking for nicer restaurants:

• Tutto Pasta Trattoria - 305 State St Madison, WI 53703 – One of my favorite Italian places from college. Not too fancy but has character.
• Ians Pizza - http://www.ianspizza.com/ - This is the go to pizza by the slice place that has crazy pizza’s like steak and fries, chicken parmesan, etc.
• If you want to get really crazy there is a german restaurant/beer haul that everybody is dressed in lederhosen and there is live polka music.. http://essen-haus.com/
