Geez, I can't believe I had to explain that one.One of the grandest benefits of the enlightenment was the realization that our moral sense must be based on the welfare of living individuals, not on their immortal souls. Honest and passionate folks can strongly disagree regarding spiritual matters, so it's imperative that we not allow such considerations to infringe on the real happiness of real people.

Lasike struggled mightily on Saturday. Ground game was poor, and his pass pro was atrocious. Against Texas he seemed to do a better job running straight ahead, bowling guys over. Maybe that had more to do with the OL making holes and the D being worried about Jamaal and Tays than Lasike.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostBobby I have your back as well.
Williams needs to be healthy for Friday night. While Hine's YPC was similar to Jamaal's Hine's yards after contact I'd guess aren't even close. Jamaal has that edge that makes BYU's O tough to scheme for. Hine isn't quite there yet, but I like him filling in for Jamaal when he needs a breather.

I'm hoping for a steady dose of the rugby sweep option.Originally posted by Sizzle View PostLasike struggled mightily on Saturday. Ground game was poor, and his pass pro was atrocious. I was knocking Lasike for running that play with two hands on the ball thinking it couldn't even pitch it if he wanted to. Then I remembered he was a rugby player and he would probably go with the two handed pitch putting some spin on it. That would have been something.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostI'm hoping for a steady dose of the rugby sweep option.*Banned*

They ran that once earlier this season (Utah game?). He two-hand rugby pitched it then. It was about as successful as his keeper on Saturday.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostI was knocking Lasike for running that play with two hands on the ball thinking it couldn't even pitch it if he wanted to. I know your joking but that play will work if the option was to throw back to TH. ala Steve Young. Now that its failed miserably twice its on film might work. Would have worked against UH. Hill was wide open.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostI'm hoping for a steady dose of the rugby sweep option.( FYI I most likely wrote that incoherently and will be properly corrected forthwith. Thanks)

Listening to the post game, Apo said he has shoulder separation issues and that it sometimes pops out while he runs. Obviously they tape it up for games, but I hadn't heard that before. He said it was feeling pretty good on Saturday.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Great True Blue segments with JW and Fowler. JW expects to play Friday says hip is "bruised." Good comments from Fowler on Bronco's use of Fua and Fua's "perfect coverage in the situation" and that "not only can he play linebacker but you can put him in at the nickel back, which they did" and that he delivered flawless coverage. Tip of the cap to Shaka's sister for fronting that unorthodox idea.Ute-ī sunt fīmī differtī

Hadley also played nickel. Nickel in byus system is not a corner. You play strictly zone coverage.Originally posted by oxcoug View PostGreat True Blue segments with JW and Fowler. Yeah understood - Fowler also points out that on Fua's INT he was in man coverage against the Houston WR who caught the most passes on Saturday. Since Greenberry is 6'3 198 it seems likely that was an intentional matchup.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostHadley also played nickel. Nickel in byus system is not a corner.
