Well sounds like he's not going to be out then. That's good. Looked pretty serious during the game.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Well all that tells me is he's alive so there's that.

Has there ever been a less satisfying road win for BYU.

What are you talking about? BYU ended a 4 game losing skid on the road. We are way past high expectations. Enjoy it.

Travel to the middle of Tennessee to play in a half empty stadium against a conference USA opponent with the only thing on the line is trying to qualify for a bowl game that was decided upon before the season even began. No conference title on the line, no going up against a big time opponent, no rivalry, no payback game, a nothing game in November.

I am with YouSuck on this one. Snapping a four-game skid was a big deal.

I am relieved but not joyful. It is always better to win than to lose.

JL I just think a lot of fans feel like SJS did about this game. Look at the post on this thread after the game, very few of them and not a lot of talk about what went right or wrong. People just didn't care about this game.

I was excited to see the defense not have tons of basic assignment mistakes.

But they didnt have to defend the pass so what did we learn?

Come on, I am not arguing that is was a huge game. This season is in the toilet. But we are fighting for a winning record and a bowl game (meaningless or not) and it was nice to see the guys play with some heart in the second half.

If SJS had his way, we would be battling for 5th place in the MWC and scrapping for bus fare. You mentioned that it was the most meaningless road win ever. How about comparing to every MWC or WAC road win when we were not playing for a title? You honestly think playing in front of a mostly empty crowd in Albuquerque would be better? If you think that is our most meaningless road win, you have a short memory and a poor imagination.

I like the win. It showed that BYU can pull itself up by its bootstraps and start on the road to a turnaround. The game also showcased some younger talent that is starting to mature. Personally I saw a lot of positives including the coaching.
