Furthermore, everyone was furious with Anae for playing it safe against Utah and then our FG got blocked. You can't blame him for trying to get a first down there. Williams should have caught the ball. One play is the difference in the game.

I disagree. You need to be able to trust your QB and RB to complete that.

The OLine and probably QB play need to be scrutinized more.

--EDIT-- I think late second screw ups should not be an issue. If BYU wants to be a national power, you don't get to the last minute in a close game with Virginia.

I mean, we get it there and 3 running plays runs the clock down to like 20 seconds.

I really wouldn't read too much into this one game. The weather was horrible, Hoffman was out, the players had to sit for two hours in the middle of the game and it was the first game with a completely new offensive system and coaching staff. It was weird all the way around and I think the offense showed glimpses of being almost worthy of sharing the same uniform as the Defense. It will take time to gel.

This is true we fans are a clueless and fickle bunch. Shit happens. That said from my radio vantage point, running and trusting your defense to win the game probably has a higher probably of success.

Sorry, respectfully disagree. This game should have been a snoozefest. We gave them 16 points! One single play when the game was on the line did not make the entire difference.
