So are they counting down to victory or counting down to game time?

      It's 5 hours, maybe 6.

They equate game time with automatic victories

Does it make you uncomfortable to think that there's a clock somewhere counting down something like that? I don't like it. It seems desperate.

After all these years in the LDS Church, I guess it doesn't bother me too much. I've always assumed that there is something similar hanging up somewhere in the Church Office Building, quite possibly in the locker room where the Apostles shower up and change their clothes after General Conference.

One is for the BYU game, the other for the VATech game.

Game time and victory are probably about 3-4 hours apart, right? I would assume game time, but the clock prominently proclaims "countdown to victory."

As DDD pointed out, they likely equate game time with victory time, which is offensive... unless they are really humble about things and consider it a great victory of will and human accomplishment to field a Division I football team and get to the game on time and have the lines correctly painted on the field, etc...

We decided instead to go to the Wisconsin game with 3 other friends. He lives in the outskirts of Columbia. One thing I've liked about indy is all the different locations there have been to attend games like ND, Texas, WIsconsin, etc.

Given how the weather might be at that one, that might have been a poor decision.

A wise man once told me the correct answer to which roadie to attend is "both".

I bet HF has one in his office counting down when it is time to send Jesus back to earth!

Doubt it. Since nobody else can know that time, every time people came into his office he would have to yell "DON'T LOOK AT MY CLOCK!!"

He'd have a simple sheet hanging between them and the clock. Problem solved.

Guys, let's not turn this thread into one where we fruitlessly speculate on trivial gospel matters. The truth is that nobody knows if HF has a countdown clock on his wall or even if he has an office and that he created so many worlds there would have to be a huge wall to hold all the clocks. Or maybe it's a password protected touchscreen wall that allows him to toggle between all the clocks when nobody else is looking. We simply don't know.

Also, we should bring back the "Give the ball to Jamaal" chant that we all used to say for Jamal Willis, but now we would say it for Jamaal Williams.
