Poor landpoke, he was thinking Tedford was heading to Wyo.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostI agree with you. I don' t think Peterson turns UW in to a national power by any means.
Also rumors are Boise has already contacted Jeff Tedford about the vacant job.Get confident, stupid

Im tempted to buy into that line of thinking and I wont fault the Phuskies for believing in 9-10 win seasons pretty quickly, but Petersen will be playing Oregon and Stanford every year now, not once a decade. And who knows what Mike Leach is going to do at WSU (I think he can turn them into a regular 7-8 win team). P12N is a tough division. Petersen adds to that toughness, of course, but the transition is probably going to be rough.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostGiving Sark a mulligan in that first year at 5-7, he had 3 years of 7-6 and this year at 8-4. If Peterson doesn't have at least two years of 9-3 or better, I'll be shocked. Shocked, I tell ya!
Again, i am predicting that Sark wont even be at heritage in 5 years. BYU???Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

I'm more optimistic about Sark than you are. I think he will recruit really well and win a lot of games. Enough that he'll be really tough to fire.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostIm tempted to buy into that line of thinking and I wont fault the Phuskies for believing in 9-10 win seasons pretty quickly, but Petersen will be playing Oregon and Stanford every year now, not once a decade. I look at what Kiffin and CEO accomplished and I think Sark can replicate that and perhaps even improve. Recruiting SoCal will improve under Sark. In fact, his hire makes SC the front runner for guys like JuJu Smith out of Poly or Dwight Williams from Serra. Traditionally, Crenshaw has been a fucla pipe but while Sark was at SC last time, he was able to steer several guys away from Westwood, so I am hopeful we will see that again, too.Originally posted by wapiti View PostI'm more optimistic about Sark than you are. My main concerns about Sark are his bringing all of his UW rejects with him to coach and the loss of chemistry that CEO managed to build up so quickly. These SC players will have 4 coaches this season. Insane.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Neither is the SEC 9 or Big 9. As has been mentioned, the problem is that all teams in the same division have to play each other and its tough to have more than two [peerceived] top programs in the same division. One team's rise usually means another team's decline. Will be interesting to see how this plays out. I've never written off Washington or UCLA.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostWell let's not include Cal, Pac 9 isn't bad though.“Not the victory but the action. If he improve on Kiffin and CEO then he'll be there for a long time. Kiffin got fired because of direction not the actual record. I'm guessing Sark wins the south about every other year. As long as he wins the title game some of the time he'll settle in for many years at USC.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostI look at what Kiffin and CEO accomplished and I think Sark can replicate that and perhaps even improve. What a monster hire for Washington. What else need be said? IT'S A MONSTER HIRE -- there's no credible spin available. I'm stunned, and I'm sure USC would trade coaches with UW right now. Wow wow wow. Whatever anyone thought of Sark, this turnabout is great fortune for Husky fans. They can now say good riddance to Sark and pass lie deterctor tests. I'm really impressed. It reminds me of when Pope Urban took over a talented but underachieving program after he did amazing things at a small underfunded school with no natural recruiting edge. When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him.

Even when it is not about BYU, it becomes about BYU. You have a problem.Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostWhat a monster hire for Washington. What else need be said? At least you're willing to admit that you weren't being truthful when you previously said you were happy to see Sark leave. No, you guys have a problem. You express no love for Sark while he's as UW, on the contrary. But as soon as people start criticizing him, it's like a bell goes off and you start sparring at phatoms. You're punch drunk for all the antipathy for BYU out there. Speaks volumes. Guess what, though. Nobody hates BYU anymore. You're just irrelevant.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostEven when it is not about BYU, it becomes about BYU. I am indifferent about UW and Sark. Sorry, unlike you I am not a fan of multiple teams in the same conference.Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostNo, you guys have a problem. BYU is so irrelevant you continue to post on this board, and throw out meaningless stats in the basketball threads. I am glad you still care and those mormon roots still run deep. I have hope for you brother!*Banned*
