Yeah I don't think they have the same fan expectations. I am not SU and don't follow UW closely, but Sark didn't seem to be on any hot seat with his pedestrian record there.

So who replaces Petersen at Boise? Apparently Harsin has a buyout of $1 million. Arkansas State seems to be a great stepping stone school right now. Hugh Freeze, Gus Malzahn, Brian Harsin?

I also saw a tweet that Petersen is contractually obligated to coach Boise's bowl game.

Who is that then? Not Prince. He's not been popular among the fans and doesn't have much experience. And with Boise in a rebuilding/reloading mode, I think they need to hire someone with some cachet and HC experience. They should go after Harsin.

I'll say Washington. It's interesting, because both schools are starting from a fairly similar place in terms of current success, although USC does have one more year of scholarship limitations, IIRC.

Nope, not even close. Well, maybe the older generations, I don't know. But all the UW fans I work with were perfectly content playing winning football since they'd lived through so many years of terrible records.
