Who knows? Thus is the same guy that turned down USC, UCLA, and Stanford.

That's why I just can't see it happening. But he didn't turn down SC, did he?
From the link above:
On Monday, Petersen withdrew his name from consideration for the USC opening, just before it was filled by Steve Sarkisian.

Joe Schad reporting Petersen will be named Washington head coach today and become one of the highest paid in the Pac 12.
Maybe Boise can rehire Dan Hawkins.
"They're good. They've always been good" - David Shaw.
Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.
Who wouldn't trade Sarkisian for Petersen? Except USC.
I'd like to know how the USC thing really went down. It really could be that he took his name out of USC consideration because he wanted the UW job, and not because he knew he wasn't getting it (I have a hard believing USC preferred Sark over Petersen). He likes the northwest (previously coached at Portland St and Oregon) and the money is comparable. Same fan expectations but not the same limelight.

UW fans are delusional if they have the same expectations as USC fans.
