Just saw the replay on Sportscenter. It looks like he put his left knee down and then reached the ball out.

It looked like his knee went down to me.

I don't think it did. Here's the video:

I think it would be an intentional fumble, which is an illegal play. Not sure what the penalty would be, but if it was a fumble ASU recovered.

I think the NCAA is going to determine that the QB did not give himself up correctly and that the result was a turnover when he set the ball on the ground.

I don't think it was that clear. It wasn't clear to anyone on the field or the announcers. It doesn't look like his knee is down to me. It looks like he ran into the back of his teammate and then bent over and set the ball on the ground. The knee may have been down, but I don't think it is clear.

The picture from behind clearly shows that he did kneel. Video is less clear. Terrible officiating.
